With the DIROM monitoring system, changes in the vibration behavior of rotating machines can be detected at an early stage. Bearing faults, defects of the drive system, unbalance or shaft cracks have an impact on the vibration behavior of rotating machines. DIROM records these changes in vibration during regular operation and calculates the relevant characteristic values and functions from which the degree of damage can be determined. As a result, early maintenance activities can be better planned before major problems arise. This leads to a reduction of downtimes. In addition, DIROM can also be used to record and monitor operating parameters. | The DIROM software offers fully automatic signal acquisition and storage together with an interactive analysis and evaluation of the results. The operation is menu-controlled. Individual parameter inputs are entered in a dialogue. DIROM allows the monitoring of a variety of machines at the same time, with an individual configuration for each machine. As an addition to online monitoring, the data storage can take place periodically, manually, by change of operating conditions and by violation of predefined alarm thresholds. Characteristic values are automatically calculated (e.g. frequency-selective parameters as illustrated in the diagram below) and stored in a central data base. Together with the measured data, the results and maintenance reports can be stored in a clear and concise form so that the complete history of the system is accessible at any time. | |||
