       - Diagnosis of Valves and Drives

SIPLUG® Online 3 has been designed for use inside the Plug-In units of the switchgear of Nuclear Power Stations. The purpose of this module is the measurement of active power for assessment of electrical and mechanical characteristics of actuators and valves. All necessary parts for the measurement are integrated in the Plug-In unit with minimum maintenance requirements.
SIPLUG® Online 3 can be integrated in the plant’s computer network (LAN). With this solution all measurement information will be available immediately in the offices of plant engineers.

The SIPLUG® Online 3 module has been
optimized for the integration in switchgear
plug-in units. A small power supply for the
diagnosis unit is alsointegrated and connected
to one of the three phases. For service
purposes and maintenance of the module an
interface to a PC is available. A special service 
adapter can be used to indicate the current 
state of the module.

For the measurement intrinsically safe current 
and voltage transformers are installed. All
necessary signals for the diagnosis are 
galvanic isolated and decoupled by the
transformers.

The current and voltage signals are digitized
and stored in the controller module after the
internal calculation of the RMS values and of
the active power. Measurements up to 350
seconds are stored in the module even during
a failure of network or power supply.
