SIPLUG®4 - Networking and Software
The Ethernet features of the controller module do not need the SIPLUG® Online-3 CAN-Bus components. For cascading of the SIPLUG® modules industrial standard networking devices like Ethernet switches or fiberoptic components can be used.
The SIPLUG®4 can distinctly be identified by specific AREVA MAC addresses on the LAN. Thus they can also use IP-addresses automatically assigned by DHCP.
An extended version of the ADAM® data- and evaluation server software for the SIPLUG® 4 is available to perform automatic downloads of measurements to the ADAM® server. The measured data are basically acquired in a raw data mode, i.e. the sinusoidal 3-phase currents and voltages are measured with high sampling rates. The active power and the effective values (RMS) of the currents and voltages are then calculated in the ADAM® software; they are provided in the ADAM® online storage as well as in the ADAM® evaluation.
The raw data are also saved and are available for further prospective evaluations (e.g. FFT).
